Position Overview



We are seeking a hands-on, customer-focused

Hotel Manager

to oversee daily operations in our hotel while actively participating in

housekeeping

and

breakfast service

tasks. This role is ideal for someone who excels in hospitality, leads by example, and ensures every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.

This is a varied role, perfect for someone that wants to be busy and key to any hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities



Hotel Operations & Guest Experience



Manage day-to-day hotel operations to maintain smooth, efficient procedures, comparable room costs and hotel product orders. Provide exceptional customer service and serve as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries, requests, and concerns. Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements as needed. Oversee reservations, check-ins/outs, and ensure accurate billing. Liaising with corporate guests face to face, over email and phone.

Housekeeping Duties



Managing the housekeeping team, as well as the hands-on cleaning of guest rooms as the only full-time staff member. Ensure rooms are properly stocked with linens, amenities, and supplies. Conduct regular inspections and audits, to maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards. Managing laundry stock levels as well as liaising with laundry company to ensure standards are upheld.

Breakfast Service Duties



Prepare, set up, and replenish the breakfast area to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Getting to know your hotel guests is key, especially as such regular customers of the hotel.

Management Responsibilities



Planning the weekly rota, recruitment, and training as needed. Maintain inventory of supplies for housekeeping and breakfast service. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate maintenance or repairs with the in-house maintenance team. Support budgeting and cost-control initiatives. You will manage your own department budget, with set targets and budget control of expendture.

Qualifications



Previous experience in hotel management, hospitality, or a similar service-oriented role. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Willingness to perform hands-on tasks, including cleaning and food service. Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards. Computer system knowledge, typical Microsoft packages are essential, any specific hotel systems would be benefical.

Physical Requirements



Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (linens, supplies, small equipment). Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and cleaning tasks for extended periods.

Schedule



Full-time position; must be available for weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts required for breakfast service.
