4-5 days out of 7 (including weekends), a mixture of day and evening shifts.

32K - 38K Per Annum - Discussed at interview

We are seeking to recruit a versatile, strong individual with a hands-on approach, to join the management team at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat. As Hotel Manager, you will act as the Operational Manager on duty, supporting Department Heads and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat. You will coordinate teams, maintain standards across the property, and play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest journey.

The main responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:



Act as senior manager on duty, providing oversight and operational support across all departments. Deliver a welcoming, professional guest journey from arrival to departure. Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and empathetically, ensuring effective resolution. Support and liaise with Department Heads and Managers, acting as the key point of contact for operational issues. Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping on room status, room turnaround, and guest requests. Support departments during peak times including check-in, check-out, luggage delivery, breakfast & dinner service, providing visible leadership and hands-on support. Oversee weddings and events during the shift and personally manage smaller meetings or conferences when required in the absence of the Conference & Banqueting Manager. Support spa operations, ensuring smooth guest flow and service standards. Complete daily walk-arounds to identify maintenance, cleanliness, and health & safety issues, ensuring issues are reported, communicated, and followed up appropriately.

Essential criteria:



The successful applicant must:



Previous supervisory or management experience in a hotel or hospitality environment Experience in a Food and Beverage position in a fast-paced environment. Experience using Front of House/Reservations systems. Possess excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. Have a particular strength for motivating staff to achieve exceptional levels of service. Be an enthusiastic and positive team player, capable of building strong working relationships across the entire Resort. Be able to work well while under pressure, showing initiative whilst multi-tasking and maintaining a calm environment for staff and guests alike. Have a passion for working in the Hospitality Industry. Have a flexible work approach, being available to work a variety of shifts and weekends.

Desirable criteria:



Previous experience in a Hotel/Duty Manager position.
