Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Night Porter to join our friendly team at our 13-bedroom hotel, situated on the beautiful edge of the Peak District.

This is an overnight role working independently to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and comfort of our guests while the hotel is closed to the public. The ideal candidate will be proactive, trustworthy, and capable of working alone with confidence.

10:00pm - 8:00am

From 12.50 per hour

depending on experience Part-time or full-time contracts considered Shifts on offer will include a mix of weekends as well as some week days. All staff will be required to work some shifts over the Christmas and New Year periods as these are our busiest times.*

Key responsibilities:

Ensuring

guest safety and security

throughout the night Bar work until close and breakfast service Managing emergency procedures if needed

Checking in late arrivals

and assisting early check-outs Cleaning public areas (bar, toilets, lobby) and preparing spaces for the following day Occasional

light maintenance

or housekeeping tasks Responding to guest requests politely and efficiently Preparing handover notes for morning manager

About You:

Calm, dependable, and able to work independently Good level of physical fitness Polite and confident with guests Previous hospitality experience (bar/waitering) Trustworthy and responsible Basic computer or reception experience is a plus

Must have own transport
