We are currently recruiting for a Hotel Receptionist / Porter for Bailbrook House Hotel, this prestigious luxury country house hotel is steeped in history and located within the beautiful city of Bath. Bailbrook House Hotel is a popular venue for relaxing weekends away or for weddings and events. About the role: We have an opportunity for someone to join our hard-working team at Bailbrook House Hotel as a Hotel Receptionist / Porter. This is a full time role of 40 hours per week over 5 days. This role offers a mixture of hours and flexibility, including early shifts from 6:45am - 3.15pm, mid shifts of 10am - 6:30pm (to be flexible depending on the business of the day) and late shifts of 2.15pm \xe2\x80\x93 10.45pm. This is on a rota basis and will include weekends, as weekends tend to be our busiest times. From time to time Night shift cover may be required to cover holiday or sickness. Our receptionists are the first member of Hand Picked our guests speak to, which means you\xe2\x80\x99ll get to make one of the biggest impressions. You will be able to give a fantastic welcome and get our customers excited about their stay, whether that\xe2\x80\x99s showing off the hotel with a guided tour, or showing the guests the way to their bedroom and assisting them with their bags.

It doesn\xe2\x80\x99t matter if they\xe2\x80\x99re first time visitors or returning guests, you\xe2\x80\x99ll charm them from the initial welcome to the \xe2\x80\x9chave a safe journey home\xe2\x80\x9d with your impeccable standards of service. Please note that this is a live out role. About you:

• You will live locally to the hotel, or within a reasonable commute.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll have experience working as a Hotel Receptionist and knowledge of Opera is desirable.
• You will be confident in running your own shifts, but also enjoy working within a team.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll be passionate about making our guests feel at home, and will develop a thorough knowledge of our of hotel products and services.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll feel comfortable in a fast-paced, busy environment and be able to assist guests and our tour groups with their luggage to their rooms.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll be excellent at building a rapport with new and returning guests.
• Most of all, you\xe2\x80\x99ll have a friendly, welcoming and genuine manner.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll take pride in your appearance, as the face of Hand Picked Hotels.
