Van Driver

to join our growing team. This role is vital to our operations and requires more than just driving -- it involves working closely with a team to safely transport, load, unload, and sometimes assemble or pack household and office items with care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Drive company vans safely and responsibly between pick-up and drop-off locations across the UK. Load and unload heavy furniture, appliances, and personal effects, ensuring all items are handled with care and properly secured for transit. Disassemble and reassemble furniture and appliances as required during moves. Pack and wrap items, using protective materials to avoid damage during relocation. Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues. Work closely with porters and other team members to coordinate loading strategies and ensure efficiency on-site. Provide excellent customer service at all times, representing the company professionally and courteously. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including job sheets, inventory records, and customer notes. Adhere to all driving regulations, road safety rules, and company operating procedures. Occasionally assist with basic warehouse duties such as stock organisation, packing, or equipment checks.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in removals. Valid UK driving licence (preferably clean) - experience with Luton vans or flatbed vehicles is advantageous. Excellent English and strong communication skills to interact clearly with customers and team members. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills - ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with porters and warehouse staff. Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move heavy or bulky items safely. A logical, mechanical mindset with the ability to manoeuvre and secure fragile or complex items. Must be punctual, reliable, and customer-focused with a strong attention to detail. Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques and health & safety standards is preferred.
