The Fremantle Trust have an opportunity for a Household Assistant to join our team, based at our nursing home in Stoke Mandeville . The main purpose of the job is to ensure that people who use Fremantle services live in a clean, safe, and attractive environment and receive excellent quality support services.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that the bedrooms and en-suite facilities of people who use Fremantle's services, and the communal areas of the service including assisted bathrooms, toilets, lounges, dining rooms, reception and staff areas are cleaned and tidied to an excellent standard and in accordance with the cleaning schedules.
Make and change beds.
Involve people who use services in the tasks of domestic living by talking with them respectfully and appropriately; where indicated in individuals' Support Plans, assist them carefully with tasks that they wish to undertake, such as dusting, washing up, setting tables.
Report immediately any concerns for the well-being of people who use services to a care worker colleague.
Ensure that day-to-day tasks and routines are carried out to contribute to the smooth running of the service as a whole.
Actively promote the service and Fremantle by clear, respectful and helpful communication with all potential customers including people who use services, relatives, health and social care professionals, other officials and contractors, visitors as well as Fremantle colleagues.
Contribute to the success of the whole staff team by respecting colleagues and participating in team meetings and communications systems.
Any other duties consistent with the business of Fremantle, the job, and hours of work as may reasonably be required.
