Job Description

We are looking for an experienced House Keeper to join our experienced team. Starting rate 12.50/hr, plus 2 meals a day, 7 days a week. Wifi available in the staff accommodation.

Working a mixture of split and straight shifts, 5 days out of 7. Progression is available from this role for candidates wishing to take on responsibility and advance their careers.

The hotel operates daily breakfast and dinner services in its well-appointed restaurant as well as extremely busy adjoining bar serving traditional Lakeland dishes to a very high standard. Our kitchen is extremely busy and dishes are prepared to order using local ingredients.

Basic experience is suggested for this role, would suit young individual who wishes to learn and progress whilst earning a good wage. Wage will be discussed at interview and is commensurate with skills and experience; this will be reviewed as the role progresses.

Accommodation is available as well as 2 meals per day regardless if you are working or not, 28 days paid holiday per year, the hotel closes for 3 weeks in January to give our hard working staff a rest after a busy festive period, entry to company pension, share of gratuities, staff discount, staff party and the opportunity to join a well-established and experienced team in one of the most picturesque areas of the country.

Responsibilities:
- Cleanliness of the downstairs public areas
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the bedrooms, raising any issues to the management team
- Keeping track of housekeeping supplies

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Good communication skills to work effectively with the housekeeping team
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
