JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Housekeeping Assistant
Reporting to: Housekeeper Supervisor
Indirectly reporting to: General Manager
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY: Ensuring that the cleanliness of the guest rooms and public areas are of the highest standard at all times. This will include weekend working on a rota schedule.
Key accountabilities:
Daily Operations - To clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas to consistently meet The Cairn Lodge Hotel standards
- To liaise with the housekeeper on areas to be cleaned
- To report any maintenance issues promptly
- To maintain stock levels in Housekeeping area and report ordering requirements to The head of Houskeeping
- To deal with all customer and guest comments or complaints and to pass on any relevant information to your Line Manager.
- To be polite & courteous to all guests and visitors to the hotel at all times.
- To adhere to the Cairn Lodge Hotel Mission Statement and Company Values
Communication
- To attend and actively contribute towards monthly departmental meetings, Training & Development
- To actively contribute towards your Personal Performance Review- To attend any training sessions as advised by your HOD or HR Manager Health & Safety
- To maintain hygiene standards at all times whilst cleaning the room and bathroom, especially when cleaning food & beverage items such as tea & coffee facilities
- To attend all legally required training courses.
- To advise your Health & Safety representative of any concerns
Security
- Ensuring doors to occupied rooms are never left unsecured
- Being accountable for your key card at all times whilst signed out for your shift
- Never allowing a guest access to individual rooms without first establishing their right to be in the room
Appearance
- To maintain personal hygiene standards at all times
- To adhere to the Cairn Lodge Image Standards at all times whilst in the hotel
- To wear appropriate clothing, in good condition whilst on duty and in the hotel.

Your Experience:
You should have experience in a Hotel environment , as this is a fast paced and physically demanding role with strict deadlines for completion.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Permanent
Pay: 6.40-12.21 per hour
