Overview of Job Role

We are seeking a

Housekeeper

to join us in the exciting journey of opening of Aston Manor Care Home. This pivotal role requires an individual who can ensure to maintain a safe an clean environment. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of people skills and an in-depth understanding of infection prevention and control standards.

Hours of Work:

21-35 hours per week (7am - 2pm shift pattern)

(Rota pattern will cover Monday - Sunday)

Competitive Pay Rate:

12.75 per hour

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that all areas of the care home, including but not restricted to bedrooms, communal spaces, and bathrooms, are clean, tidy, and hygienic. Carry out housekeeping duties to ensure high standards of compliance with infection control and health and safety regulations. Interact with residents, addressing their needs, and ensuring their living spaces are well-maintained. Obtain feedback from residents and staff regarding cleaning and laundry quality to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the home and our residents at all times. Follow the COSHH Health & Safety Data Sheets and ensure compliance at all times. Ensure to appropriately complete and sign all required documentation as directed by the Head Housekeeper. Assist in stocking housekeeping consumables and adhere to the proportionate use of these items. Ensure that all housekeeping equipment is well maintained and in good working order. Ensure that all waste is disposed off in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures. Support with duties in the laundry as required by the Head Housekeeper. Carry out any duties reasonably required to ensure the smooth operation of Aston Manor.

About You

Demonstratable working knowledge and experience of working in a similar role within the Care Home or hospitality settings. Excellent communication skills with a people first approach. Ability to multitask, prioritise and take ownership of this role with confidence and discretion. Work collaboratively as part of the team. Possess strong planning and organisational skills.
