Job Description

As a Bank Housekeeper in our dementia care home, you'll play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents living with dementia. You'll work flexibly to cover shifts during staff absences, holidays, or busy periods, helping maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control throughout the home.


Key Responsibilities:




Clean resident rooms, communal areas, and staff facilities according to daily schedules Follow infection prevention and control procedures rigorously Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, and ironing Safely manage waste disposal in line with health regulations Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly Maintain accurate cleaning records and comply with health & safety policies

Person Specification:




Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning (preferably in a care setting) Understanding of dementia and sensitivity to residents' needs Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible availability, including weekends and bank holidays
