Job Description

The Corstorphine Hotels Group is an established family run business with three different locations. The Corstorphine Lodge Hotel is a 23 room hotel located in Corstorphine, the Cumberland Hotel is a 36 room hotel located in Haymarket and the Edinburgh City Suites comprises of 8 self-service apartments in the West End.

We are currently looking for a housekeeper to join our team full-time. The projected start date for this position is mid-late August.

The ideal candidate must be a responsible person with a keen eye for detail, who works well within a team or individually. Initiative taking and a positive, hard-working attitude are also desirable traits. They will need to ensure that rooms and common areas are kept clean to a high standard and work is performed within the allocated time frame. They must also be flexible with regards to working days, covering both weekdays and weekends to suit the needs of the business. Days and hours worked may differ from week to week and will be detailed on the weekly rota, shifts can range from 7-3, 8-4, 9-5 or 10-6.

Duties may include, but not limited to:

Cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms within a specified timeframe. Cleaning and disinfection of common areas Laundry duties; washing, drying, folding and ironing of linen and towels Assisting during the breakfast service
Previous housekeeping experience in the hospitality sector, and especially hotels is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided. On-going training will be available as and when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.00-12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 35 per week
