Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/laundry assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents alike. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, communal areas, and facilities, adhering to established standards of cleanliness. Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required. Dust, vacuum, and mop floors to ensure a pristine environment. Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products as needed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Maintain an organised cleaning cart and ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working order. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and inquiries. support Laundry with shifts in laundry to maintain flow of laundry around the home.

Skills

Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is highly desirable. skills and knowledge in Laundry in a care home would be desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Basic cooking skills are advantageous for roles that may involve meal preparation. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Good time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
