We are Recruiting for a Housekeeper on a 12 Month Temporary contract to cover Maternity Leave. Do you have some Housekeeping experience working within a clinical environment, good communication skills and can work as part of a team?


Join our dedicated, flexible housekeeping team, working between both sites (addresses below), and working within a clinical environment, carrying out deep cleans, and general cleans in all areas of the hospice to a very high standard of cleanliness and infection control. Other cleaning duties include some offices, laundry and stores.


Adult Services: Barlaston Road, Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent, ST3 3NZ


Children & Young Adult Services: Grace Road, Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 8FN


The role will require a DBS check - which would be processed and paid for by the Hospice.

Key Responsibilities:

To clean areas and equipment in accordance with cleaning schedules, following set standards as affirmed by Facilities. To report any breakdown of equipment or machinery to the Facilities Manager. To be responsible for the laundering service, when required. To identify personal training needs and participate in In-Service education. To be multi-skilled and work in any other Ancillary department sections as required by the Facilities Manager. To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act. To ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. To record information as required by the Infection Control Policy.

This is a fixed term position for 12 months.

Salary:

19,099.98 per annum (12.21 per hour)

Hours:

30 hours a week (5 over 7 days a week)


You will work to a 3 week rolling rota - which includes 1 in 3 weekends.


Morning shifts are between 7.00am-1.30pm -Afternoon shifts are between 12.30 -7.00pm


Weekend shifts are between 7.00am and 4.00pm.
