Job Overview



Start date; As soon as practical.

Working Hours; Full time Monday - Sunday 9am - 5pm (approx.)

Salary; 12.30/hr

Probation Period; 2 months

Our Housekeepers are fully responsible for the effective and efficient cleaning of all the guest rooms and other parts of the property.

You will enjoy working in a team and be comfortable providing an efficient and friendly service for all guests and visitors. Every member of the team is expected to ensure that the hotel guests' comfort, safety, satisfaction, and wellbeing is catered for in a friendly, helpful, and personalised manner.

You will have a passion to deliver excellent cleaning quality standards combined with the ability to carry responsibility working independently and within a team.

Duties & Responsibilities



The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness, observing all guidelines provided.

Key Areas of Activity



Guest Room Cleaning



The room should look and smell clean with no evidence of previous guests. Linen must be checked for stains and holes. All surfaces should be spotless.

Public & Staff Areas



Public areas to be cleaned according to the weekly schedule

Housekeeping



1) Assist the Housekeeping Manager with organising the housekeeping supplies and inventory.

2) Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.

3) Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment; Inform the Housekeeping Manager of any damaged or missing equipment.

4) Report any maintenance problems observed either in bedrooms or around easyHotel immediately to the Reception, making sure that all the bedrooms are in fully working order before being marked as available.

5) Wear the correct uniform and name badges whilst on duty.

Linen Services & Supplies



6) Assist the Housekeeping Manager with all linen orders and the collection & delivery from the Linen Supplier.

7) Liaise with all the colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of easyHotel

Safety & Security



8) Ensure a welcoming, safe, and secure environment for our guests, team members and partners in compliance with our procedures and legislative requirements.

9) Champion COSH for the department, including safe use and PPE for the team

10) Understand and assist with the evacuation of the property in the event of a fire or emergency

11) Observe all Health and Safety and Fire Regulations

12) Take responsibility for the security of all public & non-public areas.

13) Ensure all guest cash and valuables is safe and secure

Hospitality



14) Handle all guest and other interactions with intelligence, courtesy, and good humour

15) Greet and welcome guests using eye contact and a friendly tone and manner

16) Ensure all customer comments are recorded and reported to Reception

17) Demonstrate easy brand ownership by maintaining all brand standards.

18) Think of the "guest journey" and what you would hope to see when you arrive in a room.

19) Collaborate with the entire team to establish and implement services and programmes that meet or exceed guest expectations.

20) Review customer feedback with colleagues and contribute to improvement action plans.

21) Ensure that all enquiries are passed to the Reception as appropriate

Daily Operations



22) Develop a strong understanding and application of the operating procedures

23) Help to create a positive, inclusive environment where communication is a two-way flow and people feel respected and listened to.

24) Operate in a way that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.

25) To adhere to all meetings such as health & safety and monthly team meetings.

26) Understand how to operate all the software used in operations

27) Notify the Reception of any maintenance items required.

28) Raise any issues with the Housekeeping Manager when further equipment or expenditure is required

29) Ensure all messages are taken and passed on to the correct party

30) Read and action all memos/emails received

31) Have full awareness of the facilities and rooms

32) When problems occur take ownership to resolve the issue with the relevant people and encourage colleagues to do the same.
