Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to perform a range of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces. Ensure that all areas are kept clean and tidy, including guest rooms, communal areas, and restrooms. Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens. Assist with cooking and meal preparation as required, ensuring food safety standards are met. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests promptly. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Follow established health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred. Experience in a hotel environment is an advantage but not essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members. Basic cooking skills to assist with meal preparation when necessary. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
