We are currently looking for a seasonal Evening Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team at Gretna Green Ltd. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and shared spaces within the hotels making sure all rooms/areas are in tip top condition for new arrivals and existing guests.

Main Responsibilities



To service allocated bedrooms and public areas in accordance with hotel standard operating procedures for housekeeping. Duties include but are not limited to, dusting, polishing, mopping, hoovering, stripping and making beds, and replenishing linens/ toiletries/ guest amenities To assist with the service of our guests, thus ensuring all guests receive efficient, professional service at all times To welcome and be receptive to individual customer requirements and ensure that these are satisfied To ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to company quality standards To set up extra beds / split beds as per bedroom set up To enter guest rooms by adhering to proper procedures and ensure they are vacant To check store stock levels of all amenities/consumables/ linen and report to Housekeeping Supervisor if stock levels are low To protect all departmental equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests To notify supervisors of any damages, deficits and disturbances in the bedrooms or throughout the public areas within the hotel To perform self-inspections of assigned rooms and areas to ensure standards are met To return and restock cleaning trolley at the end of shift ready for next shift

Required Skills include:



Previous experience within a similar role A keen eye for detail, good communication skills and flexible in approach to your work Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance Customer-oriented to exceed guests expectations and to make their stay a special and memorable one Good time management

Hours:

0 hour contract this is predominantly late afternoon/evenings and includes weekend work

Fixed Term Contract until 31st October 2025
