Job Description

21 hours per week, 8 am - 3 pm, alternate weekends.


We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Canterbury House. Working part-time, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out daily cleaning duties across resident rooms, communal areas, and offices. Ensure high standards of hygiene and infection control are maintained throughout the home. Handle laundry services, including washing, drying, ironing, and distribution. Safely use cleaning equipment and materials in line with health & safety guidelines. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the home.

Person Specification:

Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar role (care home experience desirable). Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Understanding of infection control and health & safety practices. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Friendly and approachable with good communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the home and its residents.
