Job Description

The Ormonde House hotel is a dog friendly three-star hotel located in the beautiful village of Lyndhurst, surrounded by the glorious scenery of the New Forest. We pride ourselves on our friendly staff and attentive service. We are currently looking for a person to join our house keeping staff.

Main responsibilities for the role:

To be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel at all time to high standards Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspect according to the standards Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing Protect all equipment and making sure there are no inadequacies Check cleaning stock levels and make orders if required Ensure the laundry room is tidy and check linen stock Ensure all maids meet cleanliness and sanitation standards Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards Observe and report damage of hotel property

Requirements

Experience in cleaning and sanitising would be an advantage but not essential Willingness to learn new cleaning methods Ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes Ability to take criticism and good listening skills to ensure high cleaning standards met at all time Good customer service skills and ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests Reliable and organised
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.50-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
