We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team on and temporary basis at a residential care home supporting up to 25 residents. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for elderly residents, ensuring hygiene standards are met throughout the home. You will play a key role in contributing to residents' quality of life and well-being.

Clean residents' rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and staff facilities according to daily and weekly schedules Ensure infection control standards are met at all times, especially in high-touch and personal care areas Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals, following COSHH guidelines Manage linen changes, including making beds and collecting, laundering, and returning clothes and bedding Support with deep cleaning tasks as required Maintain housekeeping supplies and report any shortages Observe and report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns promptly Be respectful and sensitive to the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents Work cooperatively with care staff to ensure a well-run, supportive environment

Requirements:

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a care home, hospital, or similar setting Understanding of infection control and basic health & safety practices Physical ability to carry out manual tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Kind and respectful attitude towards older people and vulnerable adults Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Desirable:

NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping or relevant training Knowledge of COSHH and experience working under infection prevention guidelines Experience in working with residents living with dementia or mobility issues

Work Pattern

Sunday - 08:00 to 15:30

Monday - 08:00 to 15:30

Tuesday - 08:00 to 15:30

Wednesday - 08:00 to 15:30

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
