The housekeeper will promote a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests. The Housekeeper must understand his/her role as brand ambassador and provide positive brand experiences to all customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

No education required, we will train one on one Ability to follow instruction Good communication skills are an asset Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times Flexibility is key, this role will include working weekends Attention to detail Professional appearance and manners Flexible Hours

DUTIES:

Clean a set amount of guest bedrooms / public areas according to Sandman Hotels standards Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products, and the correct handling procedures Responds to guests and staff inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner Ensures all lost property items is handled in line with company policy. Ensures all maintenance and safety hazards are promptly reported to the Supervisor/Manager to minimize hazard risk Takes personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring it is operated correctly and secure at all times Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests Perform Laundry tasks when necessary, including collect, sort, transport laundry at the beginning of each shift. Stock linen supply room with clean linens for use for next day. Perform Linen Porter duties if required. Perform additional tasks as directed by Housekeeping supervisor.

APPLICABLE SKILLS:

Excellent customer relations. Must have time-management skills. Adaptable to change and be able to handle multiple priorities under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail Eager and focused to exceed guest expectations. Be fit and able to lift.
