(1) To maintain a very high standard of cleanliness, tidiness, clear passage and comfort for
the Residents, staff and visitors to the Home.
(2) To promote and maintain the philosophy of the Home in providing holistic care for each
Resident, to enhance the physical environment of the Home and to help in the day-to-day running of the Home to the benefit of all staff and Residents.
(3) To observe and report and maintain good liaison with care and management staff.
(4) To involve Residents in the maintenance of a safe, comfortable, homely environment by
environment by recognising their wishes within their own rooms.
Principle Responsibilities
Clean, tidy public areas of Home.
Thoroughly clean Residents' rooms on a weekly rota paying particular attention to areas behind beds, tops of wardrobes etc.
Clean daily, toilet/washroom facilities (en suite), empty bins.
Refer to work rota, discuss any problems with Manager, adapt rota especially during periods of Residents' ill-heath and communicate with care staff in order to prioritise tasks.
Pay particular attention to safe practice involving cleaning equipment, materials. Report concerns.
Report areas/furniture in state of disrepair/requiring maintenance.
Encourage social interaction with Residents during the execution of your duties.
Attend training sessions as arranged.
Such other duties as may reasonably be required.
