Overview

We are a temporary accommodation provider, specialising in offering accommodation to vulnerable adults with various support needs, from mental health and learning difficulties, to fleeing domestic violence and abuse. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at a 12-bedroom temporary accommodation unit, operating in partnership with the local council.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our facilities and will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure that all bedrooms and communal areas are kept tidy and presentable. The job would suite someone with deep cleaning abilities and preferably some basic maintenance skills also, as there could be some light maintenance work.

Responsibility

Working directly with Manager Clean and sanitise all assigned rooms and areas according to company standards within a specific time period Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors Dust and polish furniture and fixtures Change bed linens and make beds Clean and disinfect bathrooms Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment Follow all safety procedures and protocols Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management

Requirement:

Valid DBS Previous experience as a housekeeper or similar role Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week

Southend-on-Sea SS1 2AS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
