Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the home. Contributing to the provision of a comfortable living environment for our residents. This role requires a strong commitment to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to high standards of hygiene.

Working Pattern:



Week one: Monday, Tuesday and Friday Week two: Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday This may be able to change if needed Hours are: 7am-1pm or 8am -2pm

At Inglewood Residential Care Home our residents enjoy a homely atmosphere within a family environment

The home is adjacent to Lyme Park and a five-minute drive to Disley village. Although we are pleasantly situated in a quiet lane, we are close to the main A6 road with bus stops to both Stockport and Buxton.

There is a train station in Disley. We offer residential and specialist dementia care in individual accommodation for 21 older people

Responsibilities

- Cleaners must be prepared to undertake the full range of cleaning duties anywhere in the home at the direction of the Senior Carer and/or Manager and to maintain appropriate records as required. Cleaning duties will include:

Hoovering carpets and soft furnishings Shampooing carpets Mopping solid floor surfaces Dusting and polishing furniture and wooden surfaces including skirting boards Stripping bed linen and replacing it with appropriate matching linen Tidying generally in sitting rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms, including removal of dead flowers, to maintain a pleasant environment Management of unpleasant odour's using appropriate products At least once weekly, removing all mobile furniture and cleaning thoroughly beneath and behind it including carpet edges and skirting boards Keeping all areas free of cobwebs Maintain confidentiality at all times. Cleaners must treat as confidential any intimate personal details relating to Residents' circumstances or private affairs. It is important to show respect for and maintain the privacy, dignity and individuality of residents whilst ensuring that Senior Carers and/ or Management are kept informed of any relevant matters that arise. Carry out all required safety precautions and fire drills and personal and food hygiene practices, after receiving appropriate instructions and training. Report any faults or difficulties within the environment or the working practices to Management. Maintain good standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home. Maintain documents as required. Cleaners must employ the correct moving and handling techniques as directed during training at all times. Cleaners work on a rota basis. Cleaners will have to work at weekends and on public holidays, on a rota basis. Cleaners must be able to work alone and one's own initiative if necessary. To carry out such further tasks as may from time to time be delegated by Management.

Experience



Previous experience in a housekeeping role is preferred, particularly in hotels/Care Homes or commercial cleaning settings. A background in customer service is highly valued as it enhances residents interactions.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.80-13.30 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
