St Judes is a Care Home looking for a Housekeeper to join our team who is passionate about elderly care and wants to make a difference!
To provide efficient and effective cleaning support and hygienic maintenance of the home on a daily basis so that residents can live in a clean, fresh and happy environment. You will be responsible for daily cleaning of bedrooms and of en-suites in your allocated house with a great attention to detail. Also the communal and office area's with the same attention to detail. Waste to be removed and disposed of accordingly, ensuring the bin area is kept tidy.
Laundry washing of residents clothes ensuring correct procedures are followed, reporting any defects to senior staff. Delivery of residents belongings to rooms putting them away neatly.
To carry out tasks allocated by person-in-charge efficiently as directed.
Ensure whilst carrying out these duties you are ensuring the service users privacy and dignity and giving respect to the service user's personal possessions.
Ensure familiarisation with company policies and procedures and ensure COSHH requirements are met at all times and equipment is maintained and in good working order.
Help with breakfast club
Clean, sanitise, and service resident rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas.
Make beds with fresh matching bed linen, Dress with over sheet, throws and cushions, ensure curtains are tidy back neatly, replace towels, refill shower gel and shampoo, empty bins and arrange flowers, brochure documents neatly.
Tidy wardrobe and drawers, make sure drawers have liners
Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish furniture and fixtures.
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the supervisor and maintenance book. - Carry a note book for things to report/ action.
Manage residents requests courteously and promptly and escalate to the appropriate person
Follow safety, security, and sanitation procedures at all times.
Ensure trolleys, equipment, and storage areas are clean and organised.
Support other housekeeping staff as required to maintain service efficiency.
To maintain tidiness and organisation of the laundry, ensuring all residents' clothes are appropriately laundered, ironed and returned to individual residents.

You will be expected to take part in mandatory training.
Housekeeping Hours 7am-2pm (on rota basis)
Laundry Hours 2.30pm to 5.30pm (on rota basis).
