Job Summary

Moorland is a 41 bedded specialist nursing home which provides care for individuals over the age of 18 years with a mental disorder, learning disability, who may also have complex physical needs.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeper to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have previous housekeeping experience, and be passionate about providing a clean and safe environment for our service users, staff and visitors.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of service user bedrooms, communal areas, and facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met. Completing laundry for service users, this is a key component of this role. Ownership of the laundry process. Complying with any infection control requirements, which may require use of PPE Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the manager and maintenance assistant promptly. Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition. Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all cleaning tasks. Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests promptly and courteously.

Skills

Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot cleanliness issues quickly. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and cooperation. Good communication skills to interact effectively with service uses and team members. A positive attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Hours of work

You will be expected to work as part of a rolling rota along with other members of the housekeeping team in order to provide housekeeping cover 7 days per week.

The role will require you to work three 4 hour shifts per week, one of which will be a Saturday and the other two shifts week days. Every three weeks you will be required to work one day during the week and both Saturday and Sunday.

There is some flexibility in regards to shift start and finish times, which will be discussed at interview.

There will be opportunity to increase hours in the future, as well as working additional hours to cover leave.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.44 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
