Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team at Briery Park Care Home. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties



Perform routine cleaning tasks in guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained. Change bed linens, replenish towels, and ensure all amenities are stocked appropriately. Conduct thorough cleaning of bathrooms, including sanitising surfaces and fixtures. Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing items as needed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. Assist with cooking or meal preparation when required, ensuring dietary needs are met. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and notify management when restocking is necessary.

Skills



Proven experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles is preferred; care home or hotel experience is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. This role is a either a part or full time position based on 5.5 hour shifts daily over 3-5 days per week whichever is required by the service to cover holiday and sickness periods.

Located within village with daily bus services and local shops, Co-op, Spar, Boots, Post Office, Restaurants, Pubs, Pharmacy, Bank, local schools and various other businesses.

Shift patterns. 8:30am-2:30pm, 9am-3pm, 11am-5pm.

Part time shifts available daily.
