12 hours per week - weekend work only. 8 am - 2 pm.
This role is central to creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents living with dementia. The Weekend Housekeeper ensures that all communal areas, resident rooms, and service spaces are clean, hygienic, and maintained to a high standard. The work you do directly supports residents' wellbeing and helps them feel secure in their surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining areas, and corridors.
Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitising surfaces, and emptying bins.
Change bed linen and towels, ensuring laundry is handled in line with infection?control procedures.
Report any maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the duty manager.
Work in a way that supports residents' dignity, privacy, and independence.
Engage with residents in a warm, respectful manner, recognising the needs of individuals living with dementia.
Follow all health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding policies.
Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and replenished when needed.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in housekeeping
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A calm, patient, and compassionate approach.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Reliability and commitment to weekend working.
