We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our team. The role is part time and permanent. You'll be on a permanent, part time basis, working 14 hours per week.



Where you'll be working:



The Pool House Holiday Cottage at Witley Court is a 4 bedroom property part of the English Heritage holiday cottage portfolio. Awarded a 5 Star Gold rating by Visit England the Pool house provides guest to relax and explore stay with this English Heritage Site.

This is a physically demanding job, that requires the post holder to familiarise with procedures (including EH manual handling standards) and deliver daily tasks..



What you'll achieve with us:



You will be responsible for the cleaning and presentation of the Pool House, ensuring that guests staying in the property have a memorable experience.



What you'll be doing:



Changeover days Clean the cottage on changeover days (Fridays and Mondays) and present it to standards set out in the Operations Manual, including changing linen and making up beds. Prepare all linen for collection by laundry and store all returned laundry OR take all linen home for washing and ironing and return to cottage linen store. At home laundry remunerated through expenses. Purchase and prepare guest arrival hampers. Greet guests on arrival, or within 24 hours of arrival.

On-going tasks throughout the year:



Act as the first point of call for guest enquiries, both pre-arrival (by telephone) and during the stay (by telephone or in person). Respond to comments and complaints as appropriate. Deal with emergency situations, liaising with the Property Manager, escalating electrical, plumbing and building issues to the organisation's estates department. Check equipment inventory on a regular basis. Report and/ or replace breakages or damaged items. To complete the online Health and Safety checks, reconcile approved expenditure within the agreed timescales through "expenseme PRO" In liaison with the Site Manager and the National Holiday Manager; prepare annual maintenance schedule. Undertake and/or supervise deep clean to the property annually. Receive and monitor guest arrival notifications.

As Housekeeper, you will responsible for the cleaning and presentation of the Pool House Holiday Cottage, courtesy call to guests, be the first point of contact of guests, preparation of welcome guest hamper, support the Holiday Let Manager and the Site Manager in maintaining Pool House 5award.
Flexibility is an essential aspect of this role.

First aid trained is desirable, but training will be provided if not first aid trained.



You will oversee the presentation of the holiday let, by reporting any maintenance issues to the site manager, purchase with the company card the guest hamper, maintain records of cyclical cleaning and annual deep cleaning, complete weekly checks and tests.



You will respond to comments and complaints as appropriate in liaison with the Site Manager and the Holiday Let Manager.



To be considered as a Housekeeper, you'll need:



Experience of cleaning and presenting holiday accommodation to a high standard Experience of excellent customer service Demonstrable understanding and success in excellent customer care and visitor service Eye for Detail to maintain the Visit England 5 star Gold Award General awareness of health and safety and security issues Good numeracy and writing skills Able to prioritise own work and meet deadlines

Interviews will be held in the week commencing 18th of August. There will be a telephone interview followed by an in person interview a week later.
