We are seeking an experienced and detail orientated housekeeper to join a dynamic team in a beautiful 11-bedroom country property that is an events space as well as a private home. There is a small team of gardeners but you would be the only household member of our team. The ideal candidate must have proven experience within a private household, hospitality or luxury hotels. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various premises, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
The owner has two dogs, so a genuine fondness for animals is important. There are no children to be cared for in this role. Due to the location of the household a driver with their own car within a commutable distance to the property is essential.

Responsibilities
including but not limited to:
All traditional housekeeping duties such as, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming throughout the house including bathrooms
Laundry management, including washing and ironing of clothes for the owner. Bed/table linens and towels for the most part are sent out to laundry but there is a small amount each week of napkins and antique linens to look after as well as the owner's wardrobe.
Setting up the rooms for guests - occasional changing of bed linen but this is mostly done by the weekend team
Occasional Running errands, such as grocery shopping and trips to the dry cleaners. Groceries are delivered in the main.
Keeping on top of household inventories and organising cupboards and pantries
Occasional pet care - feeding and exercising
Dealing with contractors and receiving parcels
Regular deep cleaning and organising household maintenance e.g. annual chimney cleaning, oven service/cleaning
Some food preparation so a flair for presentation, baking and cooking skills appreciated
Polishing brass and silver, antiques and fine furniture
Cleaning windows inside
Watering household plants and flower arranging
Maintaining high standards of upkeep and cleanliness at all times, handling specific employer requests in regards to cleaning, maintenance and organisation
Assist with basic tasks for special occasions or events, such as decorating rooms or preparing spaces for parties.
Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Estate Manager and follow up on their resolution.
Ensure that health and safety standards are always met in all areas of the house.
Carry out additional duties as requested by the employer, including but not limited to packing and unpacking luggage, assisting with seasonal changes in decor,
Qualifications
Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or estate households preferred with checkable references
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and reliability
Flexibility to adapt to different shifts or schedules as needed although hours will mostly be 8am to 4pm but this can be discussed.
A positive attitude and professional demeanour and a strong work ethic
UK drivers license
Fluent English
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Descretion and respect for privacy of both owner and guests
Good communication skills
Experience in laundry care, ironing and handling fine fabrics and linens
