St Andrews Care Home is seeking a reliable, caring and motivated

Housekeeper / Domestic Assistant

About the Role

As a Housekeeper / Domestic Assistant, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring residents live in a comfortable and welcoming setting. You will work alongside our care and hospitality teams to support daily operations and uphold infection control procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining cleanliness of resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and corridors Assisting with laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and organising clothing Following cleaning schedules and infection control policies Ensuring equipment and supplies are used safely and stored appropriately Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to management Contributing to a positive and supportive environment for residents and colleagues

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Hardworking, organised, and able to work independently Friendly and compassionate, with good communication skills Able to follow procedures and pay close attention to detail Experienced in housekeeping or care settings (preferred but not essential)*
Willing to undergo relevant training, including infection control and health & safety
