Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our Care Home team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in The Care Home This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. A background in commercial cleaning will be advantageous.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of residents rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Dust, vacuum, and mop floors; clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces; and sanitise bathrooms. Ensure all cleaning supplies are used efficiently and stored correctly. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens. Provide excellent customer service by responding to residents requests or concerns in a friendly manner. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in care home cleaning or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with residents and colleagues. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. A willingness to learn new skills; experience as a cook would be an advantage but is not required.
