Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1.

To provide a high quality Housekeeping service to ensure all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard and that all linen and resident's personal clothing/items are correctly laundered.

2.

To ensure that all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents and home's needs.

3. To respect residents at all times, especially their rights to privacy, dignity and choice.

4.

To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health and Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care act, to ensure a safe efficient laundry and housekeeping service in the home. Comply with all infection Control procedures.

5.

To check that all resident's personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair and returned to the correct resident in a timely manner after each laundry session.

6.

To endure all equipment used is in full, safe working order, promptly reporting any faults to both the Caretaker and Home Manager.

7.

To check all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform the Home Manager of any shortages.

8.

To always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur.

9.

To be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meetings, attend training session and ensure that the Care Home is a friendly and supportive working environment.

10.

To respect and maintain confidentiality regarding employee and resident's personal information at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
