Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the care home setting, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and excellent resident care are valued. Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating tidy, comfortable spaces.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces Change bed linens and towels as required Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products Report any maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as deep cleans or specialised sanitation procedures when needed Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment

Qualifications

Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory Good organisational skills with an eye for detail Strong customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction when applicable Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting Basic cooking skills are considered a plus but are not essential Flexibility to adapt to different cleaning environments and schedules
