Blossomfield Rose Care Home are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant (domestic/laundry) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and guests. Experience in laundry services, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable. Responsibilities for Housekeeping Assistant (domestic/laundry)



Clean and sanitise all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces To ensure the laundry of residents clothing is to the highest standard, including ironing Ensure the laundry is collected and returned to the correct area of the home on a regular basis, and personal clothing of residents is put away in a neat and tidy manner Change bed linens, replenish supplies, and ensure all areas are tidy and presentable Ensure that all residents' wardrobes and clothing drawers are kept clean, neat and tidy Perform specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, window washing, or deep cleaning as required Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition and report any maintenance issues Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment Assist with organising linen stocks and other housekeeping materials Respond promptly to guest or client requests related to housekeeping services Adhere to organisational policies regarding confidentiality and privacy

Qualifications for Housekeeping Assistant (domestic/laundry)



Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential Basic cooking skills are considered an advantage for some roles involving meal preparation or service support Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Organised with strong attention to detail and time management skills Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the organisation's operational hours
