WHAT WE DO:



The Lake District Calvert Trust is a unique charity that challenges disability through outdoor adventure.

We provide fun-filled, and specialist outdoor experiences for people with disabilities, their families and carers. We welcome around 4,000 visitors a year to our fully accessible, 60 bed residential centre. With adapted equipment and highly trained staff, we make life-changing adventures possible.

ABOUT THE ROLE:



As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our residential centre and public areas. Your work will directly contribute to the quality of our guests' experience, ensuring they feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for during their stay.

This is an ideal role for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and passionate about making a difference.

Full training will be provided.

KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES:



Servicing residential bedrooms and public areas to the highest possible standard Carry out daily cleaning tasks in accordance with centre procedures Identify and address any minor maintenance or cleaning issues Report larger issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor in a timely manner. Responding to guest requirements (e.g. additional linen, supplies or care equipment). Monitor stock levels of cleaning chemicals and domestic items and advise the Housekeeping Supervisor when stock is required. Assist with linen preparation in the laundry room and laundry cupboards Adhere to all health and safety regulations and policies Support other departments when required to ensure the best possible visitor experience

Qualifications & Experience



Essential



Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Good communication skills

An understanding of, or empathy for, people with disabilities

Highly motivated with a commitment to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness

Desirable



Previous experience in a similar housekeeping or cleaning role Experience of working in a customer - facing or guest service environment Relevant H&S training and qualifications

Pay: 12.60-12.85 per hour
