Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. This role includes weekends shifts and will involve early morning starts! The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, ensuring that all areas are hygienic and welcoming. This role is crucial in providing a pleasant experience for guests and residents alike, contributing to their overall satisfaction.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces. Ensure that all rooms are well-stocked with necessary supplies such as toiletries and linens. Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing as required. Assist with cooking tasks when necessary, preparing meals according to dietary requirements or preferences. Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Skills

Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is highly desirable. Experience in a hotel environment is an advantage, showcasing familiarity with hospitality standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Basic cooking skills to assist with meal preparation when required. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
