We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel premises. The successful candidate will lead a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene, presentation, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high levels of service quality.
Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Develop work schedules that optimise staffing levels according to occupancy rates and operational needs.
Address guest requests or complaints promptly, ensuring a positive resolution that enhances guest satisfaction.
Enforce health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
Collaborate with other departments such as front desk and maintenance to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with previous supervisory or leadership roles preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills in British English, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of hospitality standards and best practices in cleanliness and hygiene.
Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team while fostering a positive working environment.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
