Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas of the establishment are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards. Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company policies. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels. Address guest inquiries and complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally. Develop and implement cleaning schedules that optimise staff productivity while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in the housekeeping industry. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to lead a team effectively, fostering a positive work environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff alike. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.
