Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas of the establishment are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. This role is crucial in providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests, contributing to their overall experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard. Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels. Address guest inquiries and concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally. Develop and implement cleaning schedules that optimise staff productivity while maintaining high standards. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery across the establishment.

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or hotel industry is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with staff and guests alike. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping practices is an advantage.
