Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent
Play a key role in ensuring the division is compliant with the Conduct and Competency Standard, setting up a tenant academy and manage the learning and development strategy.
Reporting to the Programme Manager, you'll be working in the Regulatory Standards team alongside the Communication and Information Coordinator, to ensure the housing division is complaint with the Regulator of Social Housing's consumer standards as they relate to learning and development.
This is a full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, on occasion you may be expected to work evenings and weekends. You'll have flexibility in hybrid working being both office based, at primarily City Hall or working remotely from home to suit your needs.
What you'll be doing
Within this role, you'll be responsible for designing and managing the division's learning and development strategy. You'll be matching training against development needs, and make sure all staff have the opportunity to grow and develop their skills, knowledge and experience to deliver excellent customer service.
You'll oversee the undertaking of housing related qualifications, both mandatory and voluntary and ensure records are accurate and kept up to date. You'll be responsible for delivering the Tenant Academy, offering opportunities in partnership with other divisions, such as Adult Education, to deliver bespoke training to residents and ensure that the members of the Tenant Scrutiny Panel are empowered and have the right skills and knowledge for them to be effective. In addition, you'll review and oversee the performance management framework for the division, offering advice as required to leaders.
As a valued member of the team, you'll work closely alongside other internal colleagues from a variety of divisions, as well as external training and learning provides.
What you'll need
The ideal candidate for this post is someone who has knowledge and experience of working in a learning and development environment. You'll have experience in designing, delivering and/or commission training from a variety of sources as well as the ability to create skills matrices and oversee development programmes.
As a confident, knowledgeable individual you'll have the ability to make decisions, and make recommendations to senior staff and leaders to ensure consistently excellent results are achieved. You'll have the ability to work autonomously under pressure to tight deadlines often with a number of workstreams at the same time.
Within this role, you'll work with a variety of people and therefore must be flexible, approachable, be people-centred and driven to deliver excellent services. Once in post, it is essential to undertake a housing related qualification.
