We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Business Support Assistant to join us and contribute to the effective delivery of housing services to our local community.

Role
As a Housing Business Support Assistant, you will provide essential business support to the Housing Service, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities. Your key responsibilities will include:
Processing and managing incoming correspondence, including emails and requests from customers.
Maintaining accurate records and databases, ensuring information is up to date and easily accessible.
Providing administrative support to housing officers, such as scheduling appointments and preparing documentation.
Assisting with the processing of housing applications, transfers, and exemptions.
Generating reports and statistical information as required.
Handling enquiries from customers, providing information and signposting to appropriate services.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be working closely with the Housing Support Team Leader to ensure the effective delivery of business support functions, including data management, performance reporting, and administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a similar business support or administrative role would be advantageous.
Knowledge of housing services and legislation is desirable, but not essential.

You will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 28 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years' service.
