Are you an organised and motivated individual with a passion for providing excellent business support within the housing team? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Housing Business Support Assistant to join our dynamic Housing Service team, reporting to the Housing Support Team Leader.
The Role
As a Housing Business Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering effective business support within the Housing Service. Your key responsibilities will include:
Processing and managing incoming administration requests and enquiries
Providing administrative support, including data entry, record keeping, and maintaining accurate information
Assisting with the production of reports, correspondence, and documentation
Coordinating and scheduling meetings, ensuring appropriate arrangements are made
Handling enquiries from customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders
Supporting the smooth operation of the Housing Service by undertaking ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently
Experience in providing administrative support within a business environment
Knowledge or experience within the housing sector would be advantageous, but not essential

You will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 28 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years' service.
