What you'll do
Be the key point of contact for tenants, their representatives, and local authorities, providing clear guidance on rent payments, Housing Benefit applications, and tenancy queries.
Manage and maintain rent accounts, ensuring accuracy and proactive debt management to keep arrears at the lowest level possible.
Support tenants through the Housing Benefit process, including Specialist Supported Housing and Exempt/Managed claims, ensuring smooth applications and timely resolutions.
Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, liaising with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver excellent income services.
What we're looking for
Experience in debt management within social housing and a strong understanding of Housing Benefit regimes.
Knowledge of rent account processes and the ability to build positive relationships with tenants and partners.
Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach.
Highly IT literate with confidence using housing management and accounting systems.
