15,886.53 - 17,874.20 (25,901.95 - 29,142.72 FTE)



23 hours per week, working weekends on a shift pattern basis, covering shifts between 8am - 8pm.

Our support services are aimed at helping our customers develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to maintain a stable home and a structured lifestyle before assisting them in the process of securing or retaining permanent independent accommodation.

We are looking for 1 x

Housing Management Officer

to join us at our Bury temporary accommodation service at Huntley House.

Huntley House: This accommodation has 19 flats, and we will be supporting adults referred to the rough sleeper team at Bury Council, working closely with the navigators to provide temporary accommodation to those in need, until they move on to either private rented or social housing. This service will provide around the clock support, and the colleague cover will be managed on a rota.

Silver Street: This accommodation has 8 flats, and we will be supporting families who are referred to the rough sleeper team at Bury Council, working closely with the navigators to provide temporary accommodation to those in need, until they move on to either private rented or social housing. The support will be available between 9am & 5pm, with out of hours support being delivered from the concierge based at Huntley House.

In this role you will help customers in a trauma informed, person centred and asset-based way to provide support to customers to successfully move-on to accommodation to meet their needs. Colleagues will work with customers to ensure they: have welfare and housing benefits, obtain bank accounts, obtain proof of ID; engage with drug and alcohol services, engage with primary and mental health services, develop budgeting skills, report repairs; keep their property clean, safe and secure and develop independent living skills to be able to maintain their own accommodation.

The role also includes the preparation of properties for re-let, monitoring rental payments, completing health and safety checks of the building and liaising with landlords.

The ability to deliver a proactive housing management service to customers, as part of the service team, tailored to their support plan, to enable customers to meet the conditions of their occupancy agreement, including monitoring rent and service charge payments and promptly dealing with any instances of anti-social behaviour by the customer or other breaches of occupancy. The ability to support customers to proactively manage visitors to the premises and prevent antisocial or nuisance behaviour to other customers or neighbours. To maintain a site log at grouped schemes of all events during out of hours shifts, recording information appropriately and passing this on to other team members. To take collective responsibility for the safety and security of the building where working at grouped accommodation sites, including personal responsibility when lone working outside normal office hours, and follow the organisation's procedure to ensure the safety of staff, customers, contractors, and visitors to the premises. To ensure that manual record keeping, IT based housing management, CDP support systems, and communication systems are accurately maintained, up-to-date and compliant with SSP's Data Protection Policy. To support the culture of cross-sectional project working focusing on SSP's objectives as a whole, actively participating or leading projects and corporate tasks as required.
