We are pleased to share an opportunity for someone to us as a Housing Officer. This is a permanent job, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role comes with Agile Working and Flexible Working will be considered.
This is a field-based role and will require travel to our customers and properties, on a specific patch within the Newtide Housing Association area. This area includes: Kessingland, Saxmundham, Felxistowe, Ipswich
As a Housing Officer, you will play a key role in letting our extra care schemes and reducing void loss in these homes. These schemes provide on site support for individuals with care needs, so you'll be instrumental in ensuring that properties are allocated efficiently and to those in need as well as increasing awareness of these homes.
The role also includes hosting regular drop-in surgeries at our ex-sheltered schemes, offering a visible and approachable presence for tenants and supporting them with any housing-related queries. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our tenants while helping us reduce void loss and raise the profile for our extra care schemes.
Whilst ensuring that we are compliant with legislation and Flagship's policies and procedures. You'll be responsible for a case load, providing support to tenants with concerns including safeguarding, hoarding, property condition concerns and mental health support. Also assisting with the management of tenancy breaches and tenancy fraud.
Applications are welcomed for the role of Housing Officer from those with exceptional communication skills, with the ability to deliver complex and difficult messages in a simple and engaging way.
Whilst being able to listen and empathise in order to act with our tenants' interest at heart. You can also confidently prioritise and manage a case load based on urgency. Educated to GCSE standard, or equivalent, you must also have a full UK driving license.
