Exciting opportunity 12-month Fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave.
Are you an experienced housing professional or do you have the right transferable skills?
Do you have a passion and drive for excellence and teamwork?
Would you love to work for a landlord who puts residents and the local community at the heart of what they do?
If so, Framework has a rare and exciting opportunity for you to join our Housing Management Service. We are currently looking to employ a Housing Officer based in our Nottingham office to cover for maternity leave.
We're looking for somebody to provide day to day support and specialist guidance to our residents, neighbours, and local community. With support from your Senior Housing Officer, you will play a vital role in tackling rent arrears and anti-social behaviour. You will be responsible for carrying out regular property inspections. You'll be driven and want to ensure that as part of the team we meet our objectives around delivering good customer service, low voids, high rent collection rates and meeting our Service Level Agreement.
You will be expected to be based in the office for most of the time when not on visits, with some flexibility for home working. You must hold a current full driving license and have access to a vehicle.
Duties and skills will include:
An ability to plan and organise your own workload
Developing links and partnerships with support services, community protection services and other stakeholders
Ensuring incidents of neighbour nuisance, anti-social behaviour and harassment are
investigated, and appropriate action taken in liaison with other agencies
Have an understanding of tools available to landlords and partners in relation to dealing with anti-social behaviour
Maximising income through effective rent account monitoring
Dealing with enforcement of tenancy conditions and representation in court
Working closely with support services to prevent eviction and manage challenging behaviours
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of a landlord in relation to property compliance
What we need from you:
You should have relevant knowledge about tenancy agreements.
Experience with dealing with tenancy and neighbourhood issues would be an advantage but above all, you'll be someone who enjoys working with a good level of autonomy
An ability to work to the CIH professional standards
An understanding of the issues faced by vulnerable people
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a level 4 qualification in Housing Management or similar (or a willingness to obtain a minimum level 4 with Frameworks support)
In return we'll give you space and the encouragement to develop, both personally and professionally, within an organisation that is continually evolving to meet the needs of a complex and changing social landscape.
Working for Framework you will experience a variety of benefits including pension scheme, free eye tests, access to the Employee assistance programme, but most importantly you will work for a company that invests in its employees and promotes a healthy attitude to personal development and work life balance.
