You know housing can change lives, so do we. Help us make a difference and make housing work for the people who need a place to call home.
At The Bond Board, we believe everyone deserves a safe, secure home, and we know that private rented housing can play a part in solving homelessness when it's managed with care and purpose.
We're looking for a Housing Officer who shares our commitment to supporting vulnerable people and preventing repeat homelessness. This is a key role in our small but growing team, helping to manage properties, collect rent, and make sure repairs are carried out quickly and fairly.
You'll work closely with tenants who may be facing challenges, so empathy and good communication are just as important as property knowledge. This role combines practical housing management with a social purpose, helping people stay in their homes and build more stable lives.
What you'll be doing
Carrying out property viewings, sign-ups and move-ins
Completing regular inspections and arranging repairs
Managing rent collection and following up arrears
Responding to housing-related issues and supporting tenancy sustainment
Working alongside support staff and external contractors
Helping us grow and improve how we manage homes
What we're looking for
Experience in housing management or a related setting
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work flexibly and sensitively with vulnerable tenants
Confidence using ICT and housing management systems
We value transferable skills and lived experience. If you meet most of the criteria and share our values, we'd still like to hear from you.
Why join us
We're a values-led charity with a clear vision: a safe, accessible, just and sustainable private rented sector for people on low incomes.
You'll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team that's making a real difference not just managing housing but changing lives.
