Housing Project Officer (Garages) - Fixed Term 6 months

In this role, you will:

KEY DUTIES

Project setup - review existing garage data and stock condition data. Develop a checklist for the garage assessments. Plan a site visit schedule based on geography. Establish a digital logging system to record your findings. Garage Inspections - inspect approximately 500 void garages along with an assessment of all garage blocks (match Soha keys to garages). Assess stock condition, take-up, and potential for other uses. Update digital logging system and take photos. Classify all garages on current demand, as well as current rent account health. Propose refreshed procedures for both workflows as well as a refreshed licence. Prioritize all void garages into Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Design a workflow for each set of garages and liaise with colleagues to start works to let, refurbish, or demolish the garages as agreed with SLT. Project completion - all void garages, and all garage blocks, have a clear plan based on the criteria above. Gold garages will be in the process of being relet, Silver garages will be awaiting works in tranches, and Bronze garage sites will be commencing clearance ahead of planned demolition.

What you will need

Experience in housing management, project management, or similar services (including excellent IT skills). Experience of managing projects. The ability to create good relationships with colleagues. Ability to work to performance targets and monitor own performance. * Full driving licence and access to own transport.
