Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting a Paralegal to join our Property (Housing Finance) team, to be based in either our Birmingham or Bristol office. The Housing team act mostly for Registered Providers and Lenders nationally, providing advice on all aspects connected with large scale funding projects and the mortgaging of properties to or for lenders.

The role





This role is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy team on a wide range of property finance and housing portfolio and large scale property dude diligence projects, predominantly focused on working with our Registered Provider clients and also with lenders and security trustees operating in the housing sector.



This role will include supporting the partners and the wider specialist national team in relation to:


The preparation of properties to be mortgaged purchased or sold by seeking title and searches Investigating title and reviewing searches Compiling draft disclosures for Certificates of Title and other condition precedent documentation as required by the lender Compiling high level and more detailed title reports for asset management sales and acquisitions Undertaking land registry investigation and searches Collating information and using our High Q data platforms for portfolio transactions.


You would be part of a growing team of specialist housing finance lawyers, working with a variety of support and legal fee earners of varying post qualification experience as well as the partners.



What we are looking for from you





The successful candidate will have the following experience:


Previous experience of working in a property department and be used to dealing with large volumes of property data. Able to demonstrate the ability to work quickly and accurately in the review and drafting of property tables, disclosures and searches, and be able to use the Land Registry portal and High Q data platforms. Property finance and/or portfolio transactions experience is preferable although training will be provided and you will receive ongoing day to day support from our team of expert lawyers. Previous Social Housing experience is desirable but not essential for this role, however an interest in the wider Social Housing sector would be a real advantage. The ability to work collaboratively and positively with others, with enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Experience of working with Microsoft excel. A strong team player and preference for working in a large team on joint projects.

Strong attention to detail and a clear communication style (both written and verbal) with the ability to use own initiative.
