We are offering a one year undergraduate student placement opportunity starting on September 1st, 2026, for someone who is passionate about housing and communities and who would like to gain experience of working within an organisation dedicated to service excellence and improving people's lives.
You will rotate through the various teams and work across a diverse range of services and from different locations delivering front line services to customers and liaising with partners.
The placement will provide a rotational experience across several key areas, including our Homelessness service (Home options), Home Choice, Housing Management and Safeguarding & Anti-Social Behaviour. It will provide you with a broad and extensive understanding of housing services and processes, tenancy management, community safety, and safeguarding.
You will be studying for a relevant degree course which includes knowledge in housing, or a related function and you will have knowledge of legislation in relation to homelessness and housing allocations.
You will have experience of carrying out research and presenting your findings either verbally or in writing. Because your research may include engaging with our customers or other partner organisations you will need excellent communication skills.
